Clinical Supervision
for Art Therapists & Creative Arts Therapists in New York
Supervision can be a place to slow the work down, think more deeply about what is happening in the room, and develop greater trust in your own clinical voice.
I offer individual clinical supervision and consultation for art therapists and creative arts therapists in New York, including graduate interns, limited-permit clinicians, early-career LCATs, and licensed creative arts therapists seeking ongoing consultation.

Transitioning from agency or institutional work into private practice
Supervision does not have to be about finding the “right” intervention. Often, it is about becoming more curious about what is happening between you and the client, what you are noticing in yourself, and what the work may be asking of you.
My Approach to Supervision
I see supervision as both a clinical and developmental process.
We will pay attention to the client and the treatment, but also to your experience of the work: what you are drawn toward, what you avoid, where you feel confident, where you second-guess yourself, and how your own clinical style is emerging.
As a creative arts therapist, you may also be navigating questions that do not always fit neatly into traditional psychotherapy supervision. How much art needs to happen for the work to still feel like art therapy? What do you do when a client prefers talking? How do you integrate creative process without making it feel forced? How do you translate experiential work into clinical documentation?
These are all welcome in supervision.
The goal is not to turn you into a version of your supervisor. It is to help you become a more grounded, reflective, and confident version of yourself as a clinician.
Individual Clinical Supervision
Individual supervision is available for graduate interns, limited-permit clinicians, LCATs, and other creative arts therapists seeking ongoing clinical supervision or consultation.
$150 per supervision hour
Frequency can be determined based on your clinical needs, professional requirements, and current stage of practice.
Internship & Organizational Supervision
I am also available to provide outside clinical supervision for organizations hosting art therapy or creative arts therapy interns when an appropriate LCAT supervisor is not available internally.
This may include individual or small-group supervision depending on the structure of the placement and applicable training or licensure requirements.
Organizations are welcome to reach out directly to discuss their supervision needs, number of trainees, and scheduling.
Organizational supervision fees are arranged based on structure and number of supervisees.
